Vmware Converter Could Not Start Service Vstor2 Programs
I've got a problem in converting my Existing Desktop into a Virtual Machine on ESXi 4.
Every things done well but I receive this event every time I start my machine: The Vstor2. VMWare Converter Agent, but that service. Program could not. Could not install service Vstor2 MntApi 1. Converter Standalone agent might not start automatically after the. Find the VMware Converter Worker service and.
it is a HP dx 7400 SFF which ahs got IDE-SATA II Hard Disk Drive, I've successfully run the batch convert process in vConverter with everything left as a default, the problem started to rise when the Hard Drive in the VM is not recognized due to the controller used is IDE instead of SCSI using LSI Logic SAS or parallel.
I've right click the newly created entry in my ESXi 4 vSphere client console to 'Upgrade' the hardware hoping that the IDE would turn become SCSI but still no solution. the Console still blank without any sign of life just a blinking cursor.
is there any way to convert a Windows XP Pro 32 bit desktop into a VM please ?
thanks.

What Are SYS Files?
SYS files such as vstor2-ws60.sys are third-party (eg. Vmware, Inc.) device drivers or critical system files that come as part of the Windows operating system. Most SYS files allow internal PC hardware or attached hardware, such as a printer, to communicate with third-party software programs (eg. web browsers, word processors, VMware Converter Hosted) and the operating system (eg. Windows).
Other SYS files are critical system files called 'kernel mode device drivers' which are used to power the Windows operating system. Files such as 'CONFIG.SYS' contain configuration settings and specify what device drivers should be loaded by the operating system. Without driver files such as vstor2-ws60.sys, you wouldn't be able to do simple tasks such as printing a document.

SYS file errors are typically caused by faulty hardware or corrupt device driver files.
